The Grammy-nominated vocal ensemble Seraphic Fire returns to Key Biscayne Saturday for a concert at Crossbridge Church, with a program that brings back crowd pleasers along with some less-frequently heard pieces.

James K. Bass will direct 13 performers, including a performance of “Jesus Christ the Apple Tree,” which is also the name of the group’s latest album, said spokesperson Lauren Schiffer. The song is memorable because group members sing in the round, engulfing the audience in sound.

Seraphic Fire, now in its 21st year, has been performing in Key Biscayne at Christmas time since 2009.

The 7:00 p.m. concert is free to the public, but seating is first-come, first-serve at the church, so if you’re planning on attending, come early. The Village contributed $10,000 for the event in prior years. The organization is also supported by the Key Biscayne Community Foundation and other philanthropic organizations.
